Ok, lets say X is my front foot and O is my back foot..
(||||X|||O)
I Put pressure on O, jump and slide my foot along to the nose of my board..
But when i come to land my board goes too far to the left for me to land on it, am i brushing my foot along it too hard?

It sounds like your not jumping with your back foot. It's hard to tell by the description but you need to literally jump off of your board then on your way up pop the tail down and gently slide your front foot up. To me it sounds like your back foot is staying close to the ground and that why your board is moving, just try to center your weight more centered over the board. I always try to center my balance near the back bolts and it helps me

I used to have this problem a lot too when learning to ollie.
Make sure you're not leaning off to the side when you pop. Try to center your feet too, it seems obvious but it's easy to overlook.
When stomping with the back foot, try to make sure the pressure is right on the middle of the tail, otherwise you might get some unwanting fading to one side or the other. Look down at your board, that might help keep you straight.
And do make sure you slide your front foot up to the front bolts. Not sure why anyone would suggest otherwise.

you might have your sliding foot to far off the board it sounds like put more of it on and have it in the center of the board and the ball of your toes should be in the center of the tail and jam the tail down as hard as you can and once you hear that "pop!" sounds slide your foot up and then just go with it from there! hope this helped!

A tip might be to work on the getting up part of the ollie, try to ollie but land with your back foot on the ground instead of the board, that way you could focus on your front foot and what is getting your board up and not. When you've figured the sliding part to get the board to stay under your feet, you can work on balance and landing.
A good practise for balance would be to try a miniramp, atleast that gave me better balance when I learned to ollie. And landing is easy, just keep your feet above the bolts and bend your knees slightly to land more smooth.
